Lee Ann Jung will lead the 2-day workshop to guide interdisciplinary teams to elevate skills and understanding in the following areas:

• Understanding the research on inclusion, including roles of special educators, general educators, and paraprofessionals
• Use of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in unit and lesson planning
• The distinction between accommodations and modifications and how to select and individualize each
• Understanding a system of least support and how to use this to guide coteaching, consultation, and coaching in a way that builds capacity of all faculty
• How to use flexible grouping, maximize the schedule, and deliver intervention in a way that does not remove students from core instruction (including "specials" or electives)

Teams should consist of personnel from various roles who are likely to adopt the new practices and guide the school and/or district in implementation efforts.

All participants will receive the book, Your Students, My Students, Our Students: Rethinking Equitable and Inclusive Classrooms, by Lee Ann Jung, Nancy Frey, Douglas Fisher, and Julie Kroener. Get more information by downloading the flyer.
